This content box, accompanying form and functionality are all elements bundled into the WikiTeq developed News package. The News package is intended to help a wiki's administrators make announcements to the wikis audience. The News package is often helpful to inform users of new content availability.

The expected format for news is a plain text without heading sections. If the content must have structure it is to be placed on a normal page. Technically: we use #sub parser function for the shortened announce in the news feed and it is the reason for the limitation. By default it expects a string of less than 1000 characters.
