This wiki has the CategoryTree extension installed, which simplifies browsing the "tree" of categories to find the descendent categories. In addition to showing up on any Category page where at least one subcategory itself has subcategories (see, for example, Category:Top category) it can also be accessed via Special:CategoryTree, or embedded in a page via the <categorytree> tag, which also has an option to list the pages!
