This wiki has the MassMessage extension installed, which allows privileged users to send batch messages to multiple pages at once via Special:MassMessage. For example, the following message
Hello, This is a test message to be used as part of the demonstration of the MassMessage extension. You can ignore this message if you want. Below,
~~~~
will be expanded to the signature of the bot that posts the message. This message was actually sent by [[User:WikiTeq|WikiTeq]] ([[User talk:WikiTeq|talk]]) 22:12, 7 January 2024 (EST)). Thanks, --~~~~
was sent with the subject Message subject (also the edit summary) to the list page MassMessage demo/list, which held two entries - the talk page of this demo (Talk:MassMessage demo) and the talk page of the WikiTeq user (User talk:WikiTeq).
The log entry for the submission (Special:Redirect/logid/8222) shows that a message was sent, and then the bot account, User:MediaWiki message delivery posted the message to the two pages:
You can see that in each of the message edits there is an HTML comment identifying the real sender, in case they did not include their name in the message itself:
