This wiki has the Math extension installed, which adds a <math> tag to display formulae using TeX syntax.

For example, quadratic equations are solved with

$$x={\frac {-b\pm {\sqrt {b^{2}-4ac}}}{2a}}$$

and this formula is displayed using

<math display=block>x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}</math>
