While the name of this extension is "TitleBlacklist" and configuration is controlled by "blacklist"s and "whitelist"s, such terms present issues of inclusivity. The extension is being considered for renaming, see T254650. |
This wiki has the TitleBlacklist extension installed, which allows restricting the creation or editing of pages whose titles match lists of specific patterns.

For example, the following line on this wiki's MediaWiki:Titleblacklist prevents the editing of a subpage, TitleBlacklist demo/bad, with a custom error message (MediaWiki:prohibited-page-demo) being shown to the user (note that this does not apply to users with the tboverride permission, such as administrators):
